Tell us about your weekend ride

I just went for a spin around the block. Bit autumnal out, no?

We're approaching a particular period of top cycling weather, I reckon. It's fresh and bracing, but before the coldest months when everything either stings or goes numb.

It was lovely earlier. Not so nice first thing, but then the sun came out.

I didn't really have time for a proper ride today, so did 38 miles out into Essex. Left at 11.30, 18.3mph average (which I suppose I should be celebrating as its the fastest fixed rider I've ever done, and the route was quite hilly for Essex, but meh), one wee/snickers stop, home by 2. It was good timing in terms of riding while the nice warm sun was out.
