  • Near the beginning of the week they were chatting pre-stage on ITV about the difference between racing the UK and the rest of the world and the answer, to paraphrase, was 'it's harder in England because the roads are worse so the rolling resistance is greater'.

    Makes sense. I guess the undulating nature of the uk makes it harder too as tempo keeps coining vs alpine stages where its 1 hour of 12% gradient.
