We didn't eliminate the battery being the cause of the failures (other than you button problem which you reckon is a known fault). Maybe you just push the buttons too hard. Probably too many years using Blackberry.

There is only one button! It snapped off, admittedly, but that is a known fault which a quick Google will reveal.

How can the battery holding it's charge like a French soldier be what is causing the trackball to stop working?!
