Well, no, we surmised that the poor battery performance might be to do with an elderly battery, I don't see how that could effect the screen accuracy though?

All of my phones have been replaced due to various hardware failures, none of them the battery.

We didn't eliminate the battery being the cause of the failures (other than you button problem which you reckon is a known fault). Maybe you just push the buttons too hard. Probably too many years using Blackberry.
