Dave that is proper bedwetting to the Mashton-carpet-burns-on-my-bot-bot degree. :) Heal up.

Ouch, unlucky dave, trying to come up with some sort of "dingos ate my baby" quip but I'm stuck on my low power setting this morning.

I'm happy to lead, but will be joining you at Elmers End as I'm not going to be able to get to HH for 7 pm. I'll wait at the exit of the roundabout towards Eden Park/West Wickham.
Not being one to not confuse things further, I'll be grabbing the peloton at Crystal Palace, top of Anerley Hill. I'll be riding College Road on the way home to get gears (sorry TNRC gods) and I don't want to duplicate the work effort unnecessarily.

'peloton' <-- ambitious.

Claus pulled half the field round two years ago, I expect the same tonight. ;-)

I'm hoping to do a bit of an astronomy lesson tonight while out in the sticks, by attempting to find the exploding supernova that's currently, errrr, exploding.
Need a super clear night though, forecast currently looks good for it. Been rubbish weather since it started blowing up last week.

Is our Day-Moe from the north?

• #4017
Sort of.
Born Hong Kong.
Lived Derby from 10-18.
Manchester from 18-28.Accent floats depending on who I want to fit in with.

Would love to hear your HK accent.
I have only been to Derby once and had a great night. Ended up in student halls with a lovely young lady where we had a rather adventurous gallop. Afterwards I pooped my pants while trying to find my mate's flat in the wee hours (no pun intended). So I will always have a soft spot for Derby (no pun intended).

That's normal behaviour in Derby, you must've fitted right in?

I'm a bit out of love with my bike at the moment. Not sure why. And slightly worrying given the hill-fest that is approaching at the end of the month.
100k tonight would break my very soul.
Have fun y'all and any hints for finding the love would be much appreciated.

the love is out there on the blacktop jenny. you just have to ride it to feel it.
looking forward to this.
clintsmoker and i were involved in a bruising five-a-side encounter last night. not to worry tho, i will not neglect my midfield general duties tonight

you better start getting some miles in ms j!saying that, i am out for tonight too.
i can no longer go on 4 day benders and bounce back like i could when i was in my twenties. bestival has taken a heavy toll on me. but it was sooooo worth it :-)
my brain has still not fully recovered and i would be a danger to myself and others if i came on this ride this ride.
i am going to punish myself on some local crystal palace hill loops instead...

Sit and your desk at work and ponder this, "where would I rather be, sat here working or out on my bike riding through the countryside?".
Got knocked off this morning by a pack of dogs on the heath. Have picked the gravel out of my hands (why oh why no gloves), but have battered my calf and can't straighten my right leg properly. Might be out, unless it eases through the day...
