Ouch Kattiep, sorry to hear that...
Has anyone lost a white / yellow colnago? The only reason I ask is that one of the residents of Thamesreach is currently riding it around Vauxhall. With a white lightening in his hand. I suspect it's either not his, or he's got some generous friends. He'd also left it unlocked, over the road, whilst nipping to the offy.
90s, 54-56cm

Anyone lost white BMC? Looked like a streetracer or streetfire.
Didn't get a chance to take a proper look, just saw some kid carrying it and then disappearing into one of the houses in shepherds bush.
It looked very stolen and i know where it is right know. -

Yo everyone,
http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx322/brabande/DSC02930.jpg
Had this one locked up outside of Pizza Express, Kensington Olympia last week. Just had a D-Lock running through frame and back wheel. It was my best friend's birthday, and on locking it two friends who now live in Denmark, whom I hadn't seen in ages surprised me with a nice greeting. Group hugs, things were so nice you know? There were many of us, and at least six all with nice bikes but I hadn't put the Koga with theirs. On everyone going to mass unlock, I turned around like "yeah okay let me just go and get mine!" and boom, impact to the heart, loss of colour, and the loud/quiet voice in my head saying, "my bike isn't there". Told everyone and tried not to lower the vibes, got lots of hugs, really really loved Koga. Couldn't really enjoy the rest of the evening and felt spaced out. Walking down towards High St Ken with Ipod loud and fist clenched ready to put a door key through the guy's face (thinking lower cheek up into the eye, best move? Maybe under the chin and up?), staring hard at every frame that went past me. Weird feelings of accepting what had happened, learning about new locks and practising non violent thoughts, and of course the overwhelming unfairness of things just not making sense.
Still, have had the delight of finding and getting a new bicycle, but, out of respect to Koga I'm adding his name to the list with all you poor people who just want to ride free.

Thanks dude, never around there, you know how West Londoner's are.
Can't quite imagine that scenario though. In the eventuality that I did see my beloved Koga being sold in a market, I wouldn't know what my reaction would be. Would I want to cause a scene? Is saying, "yeah, man, where did you get that bike, because, that's my bike" enough? Sadly, there's a horrible irony of hitting someone with a pipe and then stealing your own bike back in public, people wouldn't understand.
Do any of you get your bicycles LAHZOR TAGGED by da po po (police)? I think things would be rectified easily if you found a wandering officer and told him the situation and said the proof is on the LAHZOR TAG. Then again I don't want my bike registered to THE SYSTEM MAN, could be a move though.

Hey all, here's an embarrassing first post...
Went to lock up my silver Ridgeback Genesis Day 01 (2007) outside the derelict windmill building in kings cross about 11.30. Came back 90 minutes later and found it gone - oh, and my lock was still in my bag. Oops.
Just wondering if anyone has seen a bike matching the description been touted? It's got a swan mudguard on the back wheel, and rings of reflective tape on the top tube and rear stays.
Cheers!

Saw a bianchi like this being walked along by someone who had definitely not bought it, trust me. Big, bald headed, white, stereotypical eastender looking guy over 2 weeks ago on the corner of Lower Clapton Road and Dalston Lane. He stuck out like a sore thumb walking that along.

My Girlfriend had her bike nicked from her front hall last night in the Stoke Newington area. It's a blue charge plug 2010 model. Stock apart from a set of new white rims and black torch mount on the bars and lock mount on the seat tube. Will be down london fields and brick lane this wknd looking but if anyone sees anything matching the description let me know

I think you might find this "Big, bald headed, white, stereotypical eastender looking guy" actually owns the bike!!! Don't be so bloody stereotypical. You don't have to be a hipster to ride a "fixie".

Ah dude..... never leave in 'public' spaces
yeah I'm redefining my understanding of 'public'
At least the CCTV picked the guy up, he even looked square at the camera.
Sickening watching the footage.

This looks quite cool: a bike design that used the rear stays as a bike lock ...

I guess this wont hurt:
My Condor Frattelo was stolen last night outside the Dolphin pub in east london. I would say it happened around 2am.
It now has Mavic Open Pros and not the wheels in the photo. Everything else is the same.http://www.flickr.com/photos/salavati/5400881665/in/photostream/

Fuuuck. That'll teach you to go to the dolphin. My eyes are peeled round London Fields. Hopefully the colour will make it easily noticeable. The obvious thing is to stake out the top of broadway market over the weekend. Did it still have the rack on the back?
Some thieving bastard just took my black brooks saddle and seat post while my bike was locked up at Old Street near Curtain Road! Going to be down at Brick Lane looking for it this Sunday... If I find the person who has it, I will make a new saddle out of his foreskin!!
