wooot, after undoing a few bolts, moving a couple things in the pan, the pump came out with tap on input shaft.
seems the 4L65E have an extra solenoid inside the pump, so had to unclip that as pulled pump up (nothing popped out or dropped off). undid the 5 bolts and viola, smashed pump centre. have to wait till mon, to grab kit from tranny shop.
