  • Dragged 'him indoors' to see Friends With Benefits tonight. Had Chainbreaker not said he thought it was one he'd like to see I probably wouldn't have got away with yet another romantic comedy. Or maybe that should be post-rom-com or even anti-rom-com. There seem to have been a lot of films recently which parody romance and indeed the formulaic rom com Hollywood churns out, whilst actually conforming in many ways to the exact structure and content of said genre.

Anyway, this one actually got a couple of belly laughs from Prancer. Both Justin (I so would) Timberlake and Mila Kunis were funny, very likeable characters. The banter was pretty good, the pace was snappy and I felt I got my money's worth of frivolity.

Prancer still said it was sh*t but I don't trust a man for whom the criteria of a good film are:
    fighting
    special effects
    superheros
    hot girls
    coming of age/sci-fi plot
    (not necessarily in that order)
