This sounds good Dan, mixing up abilities though helps people improve, so I think a variation will be best.
We could do a mini league - fixed teams play each other twice.
Then beginners games and fast games.
Then completely random throw ins (If the random throw ins shuffle a good few against some newbies I think it's still beneficial to play, even if it won't be the most fun.)
