It's just a thumb shifter.
I'd guess it has to be the front-mech shifter (as it has no friction) or a rear one with the friction removed somehow.
A Front shifter still has friction to counteract the spring in the derailleur. Do you mean no indexing, and with the friction relieved so the brake's spring can pull the cable back?

I'm not convinced it is a front shifter.
Like Yorgo said, it could be some sort of hydraulic unit, maybe one of those 'on the fly' adjusters for suspension forks/seatposts? -

Hi
tried a search-no luck. About a year ago i think i remember a shop selling frames/bikes. Any details appreciated there is a customer @ lbs near glasgow looking for one.
Cheers

If you're looking for something specific then you're going to need to give a lot more details before anyone can help.
You may be talking about 14 Bike Co. who produce their own custom polo frame (and used to have a shop). The shop closed down but the frames are still available (although I have no idea how much they are).

Anyone heard back from Dodici? I had an email saying €450 and then another one straight after saying ignore that, they're not sure yet.

They're working it out still, expect a press release/pricing soon. I'd be interested in the grade of Alu they're using, the old frame was too weak for Marc's style of play.

Soft Alu isn't built for crashing. The forks I'm using are Alu, but they have a 6mm thick steerer tube, are still sub 1Kg. The Inspired bikes site doesn't say what grade they are made from though.

I love my oilers, TT has been (marginally) longer lasting than GT85 in my experience.
I now have a collection of bike bits at home for a new build, managed to source some eBay bargains: K-force bars/post, RS7 cranks, long pull version of the promax dual lever, new Spoon, rhyno lite 48h 26" rims, etc. Just waiting on Ryan..!

• #6316
As i've got 3 oilers, should I maybe use 2 for my rear brake? Or is there no point?
-
• #6317
If you've got cable all the way along your TT then yeah, stick the third ~12 inches from the rear caliper.

Is Ryan building you a frame Jono?
-

He's in Canada at the moment, but yeah, I'm on the waiting list: http://www.oakcycles.com/

The thing to be aware of, is where you put the oiler. try to avoid putting it anywhere near either end of the cable span, as when you spray in GT85 it will just jizz if out of the closest end, and never penetrate down the longer stretch of cable.
On the rear brake, I run one oiler, just by the headset, and it happily oils the whole lot, I don't think you need two oilers.

Where do you put the front brake oiler?
So you could probably get 2 of these giving you 80cm for £25

My front brake oiler is near the top of the fork, but my cable runs all the way to the hub (disc brake)
