I got one last year and have only used it a few times mainly because of the extra bulk of taking my FD lenses as well.
Here is a shot of my youngest who was thrashing her head at the time Canon 400d, 50mm FD lense and EF/FD adapter 1/400s . f/1.4 . ISO 400 . 50 mm
I took the gamble as I have a few FD lenses for my Canon AE-1 35mm, DOF is very shallow and focusing is more critical but it does work.
