Sky ride

I went on the Manchester Skyride, was excellent, they reckoned around 15,000 people there. It's just a good day out with everyone cycling TBH.

I believe SkY televised the Manchester event from around 11am.

well we differ on that one, but if you wanted to stick it Murdoch you'd want to take a political leaning that's polar to him....and calling on the Socialist Worker doesn't quite have the punch behind it

This seems to be the only SkyRide thread, and it's all about how the SWP tendency on LFGSS are upset about the fact that somebody with a lot of money is spending it on promoting cycling (and brand awareness, obviously, but you get owt for nowt)

Nonetheless, and at risk of being labelled as one of Murdoch's stooges, it's back for 2010 and Kelly Brook got on her trike to launch it, with Chris Hoy accompanying on a P-Far

Wheels for Wellbeing will have a stand there and some of our instructors will be there. Unfortunately, this close to my wedding, I have to duck out - the fear of coming off my bike and getting covered in bruises has taken over!

I am, as I am helping prancer lead a feeder ride, mainly because I thought it may be amusing to watch his blood boil when confronted by that large a number of flouro-wearing nodders. Should be fun!

I somewhat doubt he'll fire a cracker, as he done it last year, but we'll see what happen I suppose.

you mean the feeder ride? the people who came with us on the feeder ride loved it more than the main event, they felt very relaxed and safe while the marshall do a good job of keeping a happy faces.

Never been before.Just how busy does it get? Do any of the feeder rideds come in from north London.Planning on coming in from Hertfordshire then joining one if poss.

Me and my Southwark crew will be leading feeder rides from Peckham Rye (Cafe on the Park) to Southwark Bridge at 10.30am and 12pm. Join us if you are coming from the South East!

I and my team of marshals will be heading up from Wimbledon via Clapham Common, join if you're coming from the South West.

i'll be working, otherwise would stay away. once is enough.

Have to say, I preferred it the first year when it was sponsored by Hovis - good sandwiches that year.
