Sportive starting near Kingston going into Surrey. only 65miles. Think it takes in Box Hill twice (oh the horror - that's said sarcastically) and I quote;
'...and ride the route of the big one. We don't need to mention what, when or where you know what we're talking about...'
With this sentence I felt the twang of a dare directed at me, which is a problem. Box Hill is the biggest pile of shit in the world and I'm fed up with people telling me it's hard. It's not. Get over it, just because people have heard of it doesn't make it a cat3 climb.
So I'm thinking of going to do this ride, but (and to use a PGM terminology) I'm going to sneak up on the fucker and sprint the fuck out of it.
Anyone else interested?
