but doesn't dry quickly though :/ i think im going to invest in a soft shell for winter, should stay dry for a hour or so.

I bought a Mavic softshell last year for £60 that works a treat. It has to really hammer down for me to get wet and it's super breathable. Too hot for all but the depths of winter though.
