  • Jimm be serious. Anderson is totally unmarked throughout that whole move. when he gets it he plays it and then goes for the return. I counted three spurs players ball watching and any one of them only had to check his run and that ball gets put out for a corner. If that undoes your defence then you need some basic training or a good bollocking. It's inexcusable at this level not to close players down and then track what they do after they make a pass. Elementary football. Made Utd look good.
    90% of all goals can be traced to opposition mistakes that could be easily cut out. Spurs were ropey in defence so utd scored three. Teams like Utd understand these equations so they make sure they defend properly and when they have the ball they distribute it accurately knowing that other teams will eventually make a defensive mistake. This will inevitably come about from a poor pass from the opposition midfield which then means their defense is out of position and can be exploited. If not then just plain good old fashioned bad marking and tracking will do it for you. The other 10% is your Messy and your Rooney
