  • Upset, haven't been that nervous for a Spurs match for a while.

We matched Utd for the first 60mins, carrying as much of a threat as they did. Just our midfield got overrun after the 2nd goal, Livermore still needs to gain experience, and Krancjar is too lightweight there. I know I'm a advocate of attractive football, but you've got to earn the right to play, and Krancjar unlike Modric, can't make enough space or shield the ball well enough and too often gets caught in possession.

Think losing Walker at half time and bringing on Corluka affected us more than you'd imagine, Corluka is slow as a slow thing, trapped in treacle, and Walker offers us an outlet immediately, and with his pace was unsettling Utd, as well as being quick enough on the turn to track back either Nani or Young. 2nd goal came from Corluka losing it in Utd's half and not being quick enough to get back.

Really missed Huddlestone and Modric in the center to dictate things, Utd were there for the taking, but we just couldn't do the taking. VDV, as always was trying to win it by himself and both Bale and Lennon underwhelmed. Defoe looked sharp, but think he was trying to hard to bring other players into the play when he should get his head up and go for goal, and be selfish, that's what he's in the side for.

Overall a half decent performance, and we'll win more than we'll lose this season, not sure about how we'll do against City on Sunday, though. Think they might have a bit too much power in midfield for us if Huddlestone isn't there.

Disappointed but, we'll play worse and win this season...

    Here endeth the report...
