All this talk of Abramovich getting bored and walking away at the same time as the Glazers are about to multiply their investment by floating on the Asian exchanges.
If anyone thinks that Abramovich has put a penny into Chelsea without knowing that he can recoup it and many more should he wish to withdraw tomorrow is living in a box. Abramovish's investment will earn him a tidy fortune to add to his already large one., should he ever wish to leave.
No doubt he would make a tidy penny but leave a gapping hole in Chelskis books for them to add debt too, would struggle to be the buying force you are with that just sat there in the back ground.. burning away...
I don't understand the gloating of Ars fans here about young players coming through. Recent history is showing us that those players will be using the club as a stepping stone before going on to 'bigger' clubs. As mentioned earlier Wenger missed the boat when Fergie gave Rooney that pay rise, when Abramovic and the manc sand kickers were able to pay eye watering fees ergo his project has and will continue to fail unless he wakes up, no?
Forgot to mention the profit he makes on selling them on, this is the selling club that finished above Liverpool year after year.. maybe they should have bought more of our rejects.
and No. he can't pay out that kind of money, i'd be very surprised if revenues from TV, and ticket stubs will rise to match that of players wages and transfer fees. and do big name players really win? City have invested a shit lot for an FA cup, Liverpool even more for um ahh.. and for all Chelsea have splashed out they had a year off last year, the core of Utd was VDS, Vidic and Giggs - no big money superstars.
Fucksake even Birmingham picked up silverware and Stoke were in with a chance.
Its not only here, Real have spent mentalist money on galactico superstar players, including a manager, and scraped a cup but got fucked over on a regular basis of a team fielding 8 home grown players.
It's fine details that will make the difference, not wholesale changes
