  • Its a ten speed though, so 3/32. There are plenty of single chainrings for MTBs, but mainly for those runnings a single ring upfront and a cassette on the back, like for 4X or Freeride/Downhill, there seem to be few single-speed specific rings in the wider width, and when they are they are often discs for use with 3pc cranks. Very frustrating: I may just have to swap around the rear sprocket and go for a bigger front ring

    I use a 3/32 ring with 1/8 chain and sprocket. It's fine. And ensures a ready supply of cheap chainrings.

    FYI lots of SS mountain bikers used to use Sugino XD cranks, and there is a super cheap copy of this crank now that's good. Liiiiiiink >>>>>
