I got my PX frame chased/faced at the weekend but have had to stop building due to lack of funds until payday.
I'm just wondering what peoples thoughts are on compact or standard chainsets? I'm thinking compact double, with 12-25/27 cassette. I'm having problems finding a compact double 105 5600 chainset in black for a reasonable price though. Best I can find with a 170mm crank arm length is 39-53T.
As this is my first real road build, I'm unsure what to go with to be honest.
Also, can anyone tell me if the more recent 5700 chainset is compatible with 5600 front mech, and 5600 shifters? I can't imagine it wouldn't be, but I've read that the new 105 groupset isn't interchangeable with the latest ultegra groupset etc.
