General question: Would you Tuesday players attend occasional Tuesday alleycats or prefer to keep up with polo?
-
• #356
We actually discussed this 3 or 4 weeks ago, and we would attend Alleycats, and have a Polo knock about before hand. If we finished the AlleyCat sometime around 9pm we would go and play some more Polo

Due to Holidays, sickness and business trips, there is no Hardcourt Bicycle Polo in Norwich this week or next ..... unless someone fancies a one-on-one knock about anytime with just me (ah! the joys of self-employment), so give me a call on 07758 786036 and we can use the the Pilling Park MUGA (not floodlit) behind my house.
The postcode for the Pilling park Community Centre and car park is: NR1 4PA and there is also car park access from Harvey Lane Thorpe Hamlet.

Moving out of Brighton and heading back to Norwich for a couple weeks, polo is only ever once a week right?
-
• #362
The regular polo is only on a Tuesday evening. However, I don't mind having a knockabout 2-3 evenings a week .............. I need the practice.

I'd be up for playing maybe tomorrow night or thursday. I only have my beater mallet on me. How easy is it to get to the court from the train station?

I'm interested in giving this a go - I've never been on a fixie before, but always enjoyed similar sports whether on foot or otherwise.
Is the "pololoaner" bike still available, say for tomorrow (October 4th)?
Standard of play is OK I suppose; but we are getting better.
I am currently unsure if we are playing this week, as I know that two of the gang will be away on business tomorrow. So it would probably be best to call me. There is a Multi use Games court on the playing field behind my house, so if you fancied a one-on-one knockabout if the others are not available call me.
The Pololoaner is currently out of commission due to a broken Dual brake lever; I have one on order, but there seems to be no replacement stock available in the UK at the moment .... today I've rung around all the UK bicycle component suppliers that list this item to no avail.
The Pololoaner is on 26 X 1.9 tyres and set up as a crude s/s freewheel arrangement: middle chain ring, and 3rd on the cassette, and apart from it being finished gloss JCB bright yellow, it is identical to my Polo hack in the above photos
