Today seems to be the day for raids. One earlier near me where 3 properties and 2 people were taken away along with evidence bags. They were definitely taking no chances with the people who's doors were being kicked through. Homes for Haringey are currently replacing said doors.

My point isn't that social mobility is increasing for the current generation, but that for those post-war and baby boomers it did. I think if you look at the entrepreneurial spirit of this country and what has been achieved by the previous generations post war, it is pretty clear there has in the past been massive social mobility.

A man who attacked me 2 years ago got a sodding verbal caution that will be spent in 2 years. Ohhh... he is a free man again now... it's funny sometimes how these sentences are decided.

Now, since I've been to the UK almost on a daily basis I hear that I ask too many questions ("Who cares if that language is Indo-Aryan or Dravidian?" I hear for example) and that university means nothing if it's not followed by the money (executive position etc). I have no other skill other than 5 years of reading theory of culture and film. People just call everyone with bit of sense posh twat and take the piss. They also assume that I'm a soft target.
