was going to reply to TheorySwine about 5 pages back, but whatok ^^^^^ also reminded me: there has to be a balance, I mean some kids especially do need to have a healthy fear of consequences, but as has been said many times over the last few days the society we live in basically agrees to live together, there isn't a state or police force in place to make sure we all behave, and nor would we want that. because the idea that people will default to arson and theft unless forced into conformity by the state/police is a sad one. like building a place that is impossible to vandalise or abuse, it is dehumanising to all.
