Today Prancer and I hoped to escape the family for a good ride along the Wylye valley. Just 5 miles in and we were pelted by rain. We stood under a tree while water rose around our feet and battered us from all sides. Defeated, we decided to head back home. So far in 2 days we've managed a measly 12 miles :( Hoping to go a bit further tomorrow...
[grrrr - crappy English summer weather]

72 Miler around Essex yesterday morning in glorious sun, the we headed home via Romford and West Ham..... The last 10 Miles or so was head first into that hail filled driving rain. Tested my meagre metal that's for sure! Wouldn't have minded if it had happened on the lanes, but battling through the footy traffic of Stratford sucked.
