Bolt Cutters Needed

This may sound increadibly dodgy but............

My girlfriend lives in a gated appartment block and there is a really nice old school girls bike which has been sat there unused for the past 2 years and after asking around, leaving messages etc it is no-ones. It has a small rusted up wire lock on it which I need to cut so I can do the bike up and give my girl a sweet ride!!

So - has anyone got a pair of bolt cutters I can borrow on Sunday?? East London is best

if there is anyone with a decent pair of bolt cutters please help to crack MY lock! no joke unfortunately. I got my bike locked outside of Sainsbury's Lee (hither green) and brought 2 locks with me. my (own) kryptonite ny and my gf's abus steel o flex. I didn't check on the key before I locked it – it is the right key but won't open that shit lock (abus). which means I need to cut it.

so if anyone lives not too far off and has anything to cut that steel o flex abus please let me know. pls text here or send me a message.

this is a new version of the scoble technique, fill the gap in the lock with a small child.

i like your style, no one is going to try to jack a lock open if they are like to kill a kid in the process.

where can i get one of these babies, will they let me adopt one to do this?

The key just broke in my Kryptonite new York lock on Oxford street. Need bolt cutters to get it off asap as I don't want to leave it overnight- just got the bike this week and can't bear the thought of it getting stripped so soon! Ambulances carry bolt cutters too. If you ask a cop they'll look after you.

I had the firebrigade cut through a lock for me when I lived in Dublin. The cops called them for me.

i would take a walk round the LFB on Shaftesbury Ave..i am sure they would help you out.

Thanks guys! Much appreciated. Went down to see LFB on Shaftesbury Avenue - the guys on the floor were really keen to do it and couldn't have been more helpful, but the boss upstairs said it wasn't their remit and couldn't do it.

So best I can do is go back tomorrow morning and ask again when it's quieter. Police said they couldn't do anything about it either. Oh well, gonna start looking at insurance now!

The £15 angle grinder that B&Q do wi'll get through your lock (given power), grab one of those on your way back to the bike tomorrow, plus extension cord.

Yeah I spoke to the manager in John Lewis, where it's parked and he said there was no way he could let extension cord come out through front of his shop on a Sunday with the shoppers crowding in - health and safety etc etc. I'm banking on Fire Brigade first thing in the morning

Basically, get a locksmith and they should reimburse you.

I feel for you having this happen in the West End. So many able people around that could help but all held back by jobsworths and health and safety.
