When pumping my tyres earlier I managed to get a blood blister on the end of my thumb when taking the end of the pump off (no idea how that happened).
It hurts a bit and looks really gross, shall I pierce the skin and let all the blood out? It seems wrong to leave it in there to curdle and harden for weeks. Wikipedia tells me I shouldn't in case of infection but that sounds like sissy talk to me.
