  • I'm happy to run fixed polo setup, I think defender/goalie types should run it to help with trackstands, how much we talkin' John?

I realise I fudged up this one

  • How does 20 bucks per wheel sound? I should be able to throw in some tyres to sweeten the deal, but you'd need to buy a velosolo bolt-on-cog which is about 15 quid.

  • I'll take the rear wheel for now like, I'm trying to source maybe a 26 mountain fork that's straight with canti lever mounts

  • hit up recyke y bike, full of that kinda stuff.

  • Yeah... Loads of that here...

Are you gonna be at polo Thursday?

  • I sure will be, I'll have the money if you've got the honey....

    Hey does anyone fancy a Thomson stem (50mm, BMX style, 31.8 clamp, 1 1/8 steerer) 40 - 45 sheets?

  • i'll take the stem for £4.00-£4.50

think about it. don't agree straight away.

  • Hmmm, gav if I were in a state of mind where I took the desired amount and divided by 10, I'd ride straight to yours, take yo dollah and purchase a lovely tray of kebab meat from one of newcastles finest eateries with it, or maybe I've over done it a little

  • 320 sheets, final offer ;)

  • Any one have a fixed rear wheel for sale?

  • my eighth inch frame is up for sale £100 ono to you guys on here or nearest offer (53cm) would make an excellent polo bike

  • After taco'ing my wheel in quite spectacular fashion on sunday i need another one. as i only need about 7 weeks of use out of it... it doesn't need to be bullet proof. anyone got anything lying around - 700cc, standard roadbike hub size, rim with braking surface....
    cheers!

  • Frame sold to viking

  • Frame and forks: Raleigh, raw finish, headbadge intact, 52cm, straight and sweet
Wheels: Front- Campag hub laced to dark grey Mavic GP4 rim; hex-key skewer, Rear- MTB disc front hub converted for rear use and laced to silver Mavic semi-V rim, nutted axle, velosolo bolt-on cog (19t)
    Chainset: Sugino GS 42t
Pedals: Black, steel, black plastic toeclips with straps
Bars and stem: Silver cut-down risers and SR (I think) stem
    Seatpost: Generic chrome steel
Saddle: Vintage Brooks, proofided and laced. Lots of patina and good tension, looks and feels great.
Tyres: Vittoria Techno-sport TT 23c, plus a spare pair

The bike also has a new bottom-bracket and fresh bearings in the headset.

It may look like a beater (so you can leave it outside the pub or the shop without fearing it'll get nicked) but it is bang-on mechanically with no faults or vices (so it's a pleasure to ride). I built it as a reliable, theft-proof knock-about-town, low geared, brakeless *fixie skidda, *for those days when I just don't wanna take my best bike out. In this role it has excelled, but is now surplus to requirements. All this hand-built loveliness can be yours for somewhere near £150. Prepared to entertain offers and deals within reason.

  • Anyone got a Silver Crankset in decent nick?

You might want to be more specific: what kind of BB are you using (square taper, ISIS, Octolink)?; Road or MTB cranks? Single, double, triple?; Chainring BCD?; Crank length?; How much d'you wanna spend?, etc

  • Square taper, single, road, BCD couldn't care, up to £30.
