I have spend a long time cycling in this city and I have never seen any cyclist hit a pedestrian. Ever! Why do they persist with these lies?

I am sorry a cyclist nearly hit you, bad cyclists can be annoying, but as someone who cycles in the area I think your Twitter remarks are irresponsible. Motorists really don't need an excuse to act recklessly towards cyclists when public figures label them "Murderous", and the consequences are frequently much worse than when a cyclist and pedestrian collide. Also, in your photo, you look like the character in a science fiction film who's the first to see The Monster.

I have been taken slightly out of context here. The cyclist I was talking about was actually my friend who bumped into me - it was a joke at his expense. I actually cycle and do not drive.

Sorry for causing offence but I simply do not dislike cyclists.
