Thinking about a crankset for a touring (next year)/cx/winter bike. It's going to be this mtb one I think, and the one I'm looking at has a 44t outer. With a 11-32t cassette will that be enough?
Sheldon says 107.0 - 18.4 gear inches. My concern is that 48t seems to be the most commonly recommended outer rings, and I don't actually want to buy additional ones.
Equally if anyone has any other suggestions for moderately prices suitable cranksets with an external BB, please let me know.
