We're agreed that investment is needed for a club to move forward/into 4th? Right?
So...
How much have Citeh spent? How much are Arsenal,United and Chelsea squads worth? There's a bigger barrier to 4th now. Given that Arsenal (who looked shaky at times last season, yet still finished 3rd), Chelsea (who are doing well in 2nd. again), United (winners again) are all likely to finish in the top 4, Citeh are too. To improve a squad to 4th place, such as Liverpool look to want to do, will require a significant investment again.
Does that make sense?
