This is the problem.
I got given the car in 2003, fixed it up and drove it a bit. Then the next MoT came around and a lot of stuff needed doing because I'd not driven it enough. About that time I failed my drving test so I put it on ice, bought bits to fix the problems and got no further. It was always just easier and cheaper to do nothing. I've even been insuring it every year, just in case I actually fix the fucker.
Now I think if it was roadworthy then that would be an incentive to try and get my licence again, but what with the way things in my life are at the moment I can't spare the energy to sorting it out. If it was in someone else's workshop with lift and tools and so forth then it might be quite nice to go there and fix it up at the weekends. With it sitting outside my flat being all broken it's more of a millstone.
Bodily it's good for its age. the arches are starting to go, and it needs a couple of patches of metal let in where the floor has rusted through near the rear radius arm mounts. Other than that it's not bad.
Paint is a bit crap up close. the previous owner used a mismatched spraycan to touch up small chips. berk. But it looks good from a distance. Interior is near mint. Engine was very good before I parked it up.
