I bought a new battery for the Rover today, with the intent of seeing if it would start.
Well eventually it did start but spluttered badly after a minute or so. It was then that I noticed a big lake of petrol, probably mixed with oil, ATF, anything else forming under the car. It's been sat since 2004 and not started since maybe 2005 or 6. Shit's going to have perished.
Do I fix it? Do I sell or give it to a fellow SD1 enthusiast, Do I scrap it and Ebay all the parts I bought for it?
I've sort of come to the conclusion that I am not interested in having a broken car when I a) don't have my driving licence yet, and b) can afford one that isn't broken when I do get round to it.
Here is the old girl in happier days.
Finger in the air says a fuel line may have decayed. Shouldn't be a major issue.
