One of my cheap speakers is toast. I could probably find a replacement driver(s) for it but not sure I can be bothered. ie. it's an excuse to look around for bigger noise makers. Are there any neat solutions invented in the last 5 years that would allow me to listen to Bangin' Choonz(tm) in my ground floor 1br apartment and have minimal effect on neighbours (not headphones)?
I recall people using spikes to jack speakers off the ground - reckon this would help reduce noise heading towards neighbours? Any suggestions for average quality 2 or 3 ways with an 8-10" woofer? Can't be too tall (60cm max) otherwise I'll have to shuffle stuff around.
