What about the New River walk in Islington. Isn't that recognisably New River and it's further south.

True, tho it's really little more than an ornamental pond. Really you can trace the line of the river from Clissold Park to the Angel without too many breaks, but I would stand by my assertion that the destination point is now the castle.
