I don't know if you're on here, geared topless rider with big headphones riding around Regents Park around 7 to 7.30pm, but if you are, please consider these points:
If a fast group of riders signal that they're stopping for lights, and moreso if there are cars ahead already stopped, and even moreso if pedestrians have started to cross, stopping yourself would be the more sociable decision. Riding through, and on the opposite side of the road at times, is incredibly intimidating for those crossing, and disconcerting for everyone else who's stopped.
I'd avoid drafting slow commuters, and then darting back and forth behind them indecisively, even nearly undertaking them. It's also pretty anti-social behaviour.
You're obviously strong enough to chug round some laps, but why not work on acceleration or whatever by taking the opportunity to power away from traffic lights after you've politely waited?
If waiting at lights is a complete no-no for you, it's less than an hour along the Thames to get to Richmond Park for 7 mile laps that are much more flowing than Regents Park. Check it out.
