  • I've been failing to resize it for 5 minutes, any advice?!

the stem is a titanium fondriest one I picked up from the caped crusader in classifieds... the bars are unknown from classifiedds, were cutdown when i got them, really good shape very comfortable.

  • that should do it

  • Been thinking about a frame bag like that, might be pretty good for snack and camera and stuff like that.

That's exactly what I did when I don't have a handlebar bag, also mean you got a spare water bottle cage handy, and believe me you'll need it.

  • cheers spotter!

  • Colnago airplane WINTER BIKE?! weeps

  • Lovely argos

  • Ok this is my custom Charge Stove Prototype. Spent most of its life as a trail bike but I'm in the process of converting it to fixed, having replaced and raised the saddle with an old Thomson seatpost I had lying about. I've also replaced the stem and literally just chopped down those bars (how come MTB risers are so wide? I cut off practically a foot)

Pedals are strictly temporary: I have some old V12s I'll put straps on. I'd also like to chain the crankset, perhaps to a Middleburn RS8 X-Type. The Hookworms are new too, haven't been used in anger yet. I've bought the smallest sprocket I can (15T) but going to have think hard about the right gear ratio because this thing is heavy.

and here's the projest I'm about to get started on: converting this old MTB fron wheels to a rear fixed wheel, by bolting the velo solo sprocket to the disc brake mount on the hub.

  • Edit: Can anyone tell me why the piccies aren't working? Dammit!

because you're not embedding them properly, here you go:

  • ok simply uploaded them to the board rather than Flickr and job's a good 'un. Thanks for helping out

  • Lovely argos

+1 - what size is it Malaysian please?

  • Cheers

    it's 61x56 CTC

Actually a perfect fit, very happy with it.

  • You've put the grips on the wrong way, the flange is meant to be on the inside

  • Currently trying to put a shimano group set on a raleigh, struggling! i migh take it to a bike repair palce. Any tips on how to replace cables on combined gear and brake levers?

  • You've put the grips on the wrong way, the flange is meant to be on the inside

What you saying about my flange?

Those grips came with the bike, and while I've changed the bar, I've got them on the way they came. Surely its a matter of choice?

  • no no no, there is only one way to put high flange grips on, and that aint it.

Using saddle for another project plus i always wear dirty trousers.

  • fair one.

did you post a photo just now then ninja it?

  • no no no, there is only one way to put high flange grips on, and that aint it.

I didn't realise there were so many rules. I need to study more

  • Nice of you to say. I was going to post that maybe the grips were the other way round and I feel suitably embarrassed, sort of like going out with your jumper on inside out, but maybe I just swap that for bite me

  • have your grips however you like, you may actually find though the flanges are quite nice on the inside, and can be of a little use.

  • ^ Exactly. Having flanges on the outside of a jump bike is asking for trouble. How can you properly wrap your hands round the bar, barspin or even ride one-handed?

  • Side view.

Doesn't work for me... (It could just be me)
