    I was not even having a dig at Winehouse on a personal/personal taste level; the reaction to her death, to me, has been an example of how undiscerning people seem to be. This would be a positive trait if people were indiscriminately concerned with love, acceptance, sympathy, etc. You'd also have a definite point about me coming across as a misanthrope with no tact. But, in light of this Doherty reaction, my opinion that a lot people are contradictory, fickle, selectively repugnant and predictable has been more or less cemented.

    That's a valid point, isn't it? The last few pages looked like a load of people calling someone a 'scum-cunt' in the same breath as wishing them dead.

    It does seem a bit inconsistent.

    There also appears to be a superficially reactionary attitude towards drug use. FFS, even BlueQuinn voiced a more progressive outlook on that front recently.
