Kris, yo bike looks retarded. The risers bit.
Yor mum's retarded. It looks well nang in real life. Like a Marlon Brando's motorbike.
I had to swap stems. Tne one I bought originally was with a BMX clamp. This one's downhill and fits. I will probably stick a short MTB Thomson or NukeProof on it, but not now.

And I'm not putting moustache bars nor rack on it.

Right, almost finished. I've just cut down the steerer.
I also put the chain up in the meantime. Still needs a seatpost and some pedals/straps. -

What straps? I have some unused Burros collecting dust.

It must be the angle of the photo because those bars look like they need rotating forward.

It must be the angle of the photo because those bars look like they need rotating **backwards **.

Orly? It's a confusing photo angle. To me it look like the bars are pointing down at the ends.

38liters of space available for gear at the moment. Still got to sort out some kind of tube shaped bag for tools to be carried in the bottle cage. Leaving in a week or something. Rostock to Paris. Still need to put ergo hood brake levers and a freewheel (just in case).

if you take for reference the straight line of the faceplate of the stem, I will say the grips are a bit back of this line
I hope this make sense...

yus, agreed - looks freaky - personally i like risers pitched forwards so you get upwards sweep but everyone's different
-
• #48693
for me 90° upwards or a little tilt forwards from that, never backwards, they look awkward IMHO

getting there, the brooks honey tape doesn't match the brooks honey saddle but a bit of cycling in yorkshire will sort that!
left to do:
sort the threads in the left shifter braze-on
set up gears front and rear
add a spacer to the BB
clean the wheels and true rear
tape left side of the bar
make some bar bungs
find a period correct bottle cage
stain chainstay protector to match bars and saddle
fit more practical tyres - probably 25c skinwall paselaBOSH.

^^ How do you find the hover mower? And are those tomatoes against the wall?

my winter bike project-"airplane" aluminum -saves 'nausing' the steel in bad weather
geezer I got off said it belonged to he of the shredded shorts, Johnny Hoogerland when he was in the Rabobank junior team.
A nice thought, but no provenance to prove as such....
Stock bikes came with Atax bars/stem, but that shouldn't stop you from using Cinelli.
