I do consider Robin Mather's as cheap... for you what you get!
Seriously been saving and scrimping for ages to get this baby together- most of what I have will come straight off my old tourer:
the whole bike cost me £300 from a lass in the isle of man
Nice - visited the blokes at Thorn a while back- nice guys- tough old bikes. Planning on the Great Divide circa 2013, so might be considering a 26"er for then- though might have to be a 90s MTB conversion.
how come a thumbie when you got a moustache bar?
Never got on with the bar-ends on the moustache- plus I like using TT levers. The Paul's are lovely, although those sjs ones a almost exactly the same. VO have just released some too- got a pair the other day for the ladies tourer.
£267 through BLB, pricey but I don't want to go for an XT one
Im currently running XT- whats the issue with weight? They have done well so far for about 5000 miles- still smooth.
Sorry by Honjo, I mean Gilles Berthoud, they're £40 and well made;
my second choice for sure- but got an account with VO through the Union Cycle Works, so can get them cheap!
