Is there are list dedicated to road bikes? I know it's not exactly a Bikeradar, but too much choice does my head in.

Just go to your LBS, and see what they carry. That narrows things down.

My LBS carry Charge Plug and spare inner tubes.

.....although you should'nt expect people to recommend anything other than an approximation of what they themselves own. This may not be BR, but it is a bike forum.

I cannot believe that so few of the +£1k OTPs are attractive. Fewer still have a short lead time.

Only in the branding. Though it appears that's a one-off for Chris Lieto and isn't available for purchase. Shame, as it's actually pretty for a modern bike.
