Hydraulic would indeed make sense for polo as it is low friction and we need to drive two brakes with one lever. However, they are more expensive, and there isn't a dual hydraulic lever, heck there is only 1 proper polo lever (paul, 60quid) and 2 trike levers on the market so I doubt it's going to be any time soon.
