Managed to beat my 10k personal best yesterday - 53 minutes. (Park/Canal/Road) It was odd because I hadn't been running for over a week, didn't feel up to it, wasn't aiming to do it, even had a stitch for the most part (which is unusual for me) I just got over a third of the way and thought I'm making good time why not? Felt pretty good. Gonna aim for 50 next time.
53 to 50 is 30s per mile faster, good if you can step up that much next time out, but don't be disappointed if it takes a while longer to get there.
