That was awesome! First time I ever did the Dunwich Dynamo - and I did it on the tandem with my girl too!
We only decided to do it after it stopped raining at about 7pm so it was a bit of a mad dash to get everything together for the ride but set off around about 9pm from London Fields and thoroughly enjoyed it.The best bit however was after getting to the beach and sleeping for a couple of hours a very generous couple gave us and the tandem a lift all the way back to Hackney! Marvellous!
Funniest moment for me was when lying on the beach listening to a bunch of older chaps discussing the virtues of buying shoes from the pamphlets out of the Sunday Telegraph. They also stated to their wives that had come to pick them up - despite the ride starting in hackney there were some 'thouroughly decent people' on the ride.
I'd have to agree with them - thanks everyone for making the DD a brilliant experience!!
