That'll be great... if it happens!
We'll need a few people to make it worth his while but if all else fails I'v got a projector and a white sheet so I'll screen it at home. -

I'm in, but polo practice is my no1 priority so I may not get there til 2-ish.
I'm sure you're on it, but to get a decent turnout you'll have to spread the word far and wide. As soon as it's confirmed get word out to shops, clubs, etc. If it was profitable, who knows, it could become a regular occurance (spring classics would be awesome).

I'm up for that! Where in Mosely? Will spread the word to the Cov forum.

I'm still waiting on confirmation but it looks likely... and it'll be at the Bulls Head.
I'v also asked about the possibility of being able to bring bikes through to the back yard for peace of mind for everyone.I'v put the feeleres out on FB already so if this does go ahead could everyone please tell all their cycling brethren? Ta.

UPDATE
The "south Birmingham boozer" option is out the window as the only available room was on the first floor, with poor access for bikes and it would be a little less social than I'd have hoped.
**
The actual venueThe spotted dog. Digbeth. He has a projector and the option to screen outdoors BUT he says it may be a little bright for a good picture, if that is the case a plasma TV will be screening indoors also.
Good times.
**Tour de France finale screening.
Sunday 24th July

Anyone skiving tomorrow?
I'm doing half day to watch tomorrow's epic stage. Its going to be the NUTS.I took the (dirty filthy overpriced) train all the way to Solihull (on account of a bum knee) to watch the closing 'battle' on an actual TV and all I saw was Andy smiling and the peleton being led out by the Cuddles. A few days ago I loved his spirit, but today I was reminded why I hate his lame-ass plodding wheel-sucking style. If Cadel is on the front of a group, you know it's going nowhere.
Tomorrow is either going to be the best stage ever in the history of the tour, or the dampest squib since a rainy day on the invention of fireworks in China. I expect the latter. They should just scrap 'le tour' and just have a time trial where only skinny-ass climbers are allowed to participate, the result would be the same.

I'm around tomorrow, where you thinking pista?

i'm happy to accommodate people at my gaff?
Eurosport or ITV4 is on offer....Should be home between 1pm and 1.30pm, but with the Telegraph, Galibier and the d'Huez on offer, i'm gonna time trial my way home as quick as possible......
The Tour de France grand finale takes place this Sunday - 24th July between 1.30pm and 4.30pm and I thought it would be great if people could watch it together on a big screen.
I have enquired and I have a potential venue for such an event. It is a boozer in the heart of England ( Moseley ) but before I give the boss the double thumbs up I'd like to see who would be up for it.
If no one's interested I'll just sit at home and watch it there.
Leave your name if you fancy it.
I'll start.
Gavin.
