Thanks for letting me join you guys last night... I reckon the newer players could do with a bit more help, maybe play the occasional game where you limit each player to three touches before they have to pass to curb the sandbagging-ball-hogs... ;]
And when you're not on court playing you should be practising a bit of one-on-one down the side...
Good to see so many new people playing (and a few old sandbaggers)... x
Usually there is a bit more practising down the sides, I blame Caroline's awesome cakes.
Beginners has got a lot more advanced of late and I would say we're in a transition stage of people moving up to 'non-casual' polo.
It's a natural progression that people will move up as new people come in and it's good to see some of the current 'noobs' show up to tourneys and go to North / South polo.
I think this will change organically so personally not too keen on enforcing rules / drills in throw-ins.
I've said before if anyone wants to come early than we can do some drills / solo polo before throw in's.
It's a bit different at the moment as there are a lot of people coming who aren't beginners at all, which is totally fine but they should be mindful that this is a beginners session and not ball hog, play hard against then.
But yes, less cake and beer, more solo polo in the corner when you're not playing.
It's always good to have guest appearances, good to play with you TS.
