I saw some bird with a tremendous wingspan swoop in and out of the bushes to the left of me very quickly indeed, at just above head height, a second or two before I arrived at that point.
I also swallowed an unidentified bug which flew straight down, didn't touch the sides.
And yes, plenty of roadkill.
