  • MG- Don't think it's particularly large - I tried a 27.2 in it and it was no dice - Plain gauge usually is 26.4 - 26.8

The seatpost I used was 25.6 or 25.4, with a 1mm shim (just checked order on crc account) - So took it up to 26.4 - 26.6 or thereabouts.

  • Oh really. FFS. I am doing it with my dressmaking measure I suppose... you live and learn.

  • So yeah I've got a 25.8, 26.4/6, 27.00 and 27.2mm going spare - All short though, how much extension do you think you'll need?

Otherwise it's a case of taking it to a bike shop and trying a few out - or if you can get a set of digital calipers on it then you'll know for sure

  • My Polo bike wheels rule.

I made them out of sticky back plastic and Fairy Liquid Bottles.

My 'heres one i made earlier' was a complete fail and the bastards have buckles =/

  • Havr you seen the white rimmed wheel going cheap?

    V

Yeah I did, but £75? is too much to spend on a wheel for testing..

  • Pete in Scotts has digital calipers jess

Yeah I know what I should do. I was just being lazy/really busy.

Was that the nice one behind the counter or the one who hates you all but took a shine to me?!

  • I don't know, they all hate me

  • You're probably their best customer!

  • MG, I've got a 25.8 seatpost you can have for free if its the right size. I have some shifter/brake levers from Si for you as well.

  • Thanks me love(s). Everything's here now apart from my goddamn wheels! (still holding out that they might arrive today)

  • Anyone got -

Aero drop bar brake levers (pair)
    Crosstop lever for 25.4clamp (single)
5-6cm Short quill stem 25.4 clamp
    Cheaper the better.

I'm selling my specialized gumwall tyres - Used for 30 miles max, lovely and light, stickered as 700x25c but are in fact 20c (622x20) pressed into the sidewall. Have the original retro boxes aswell (were 80's NOS) £15 the pair

  • Crosstop lever for 25.4clamp (single)

I have some speciallised interruptors, if that's the right thing? £10 the pair?

  • need a couple of bottle cages if any has any?

  • need a couple of bottle cages if any has any?

I've got two adjustable bottle cages, like the top peak ones. will take anything from a beer can to a tiny bottle of water to a tea flask. £5 each, new in packet. drop me pm if they're any good / in budget.

  • I have one you can have and another you can borrow. Also, the mudguards which I used on your bike, but I'll need those back too.

  • Ah bottle cages, I forgot I have to give mine back this week. Anyone got any I can borrow for Berlin too? (broke)

  • I have a brand new one of these either of you can have:

    http://www.wiggle.co.uk/lifeline-alloy-bottle-cage/

Bought a silver one as a second cage for my Trek, and then realised I only have one set of mounts! Other bike wants a black cage ;)

I can stick it in the post or if I manage to get over your way soon I'll bring it with. Or I'm hoping to get a few people to ride out to a pub which is between Warwick and Solihull if anyone fancies meeting there tomorrow eve (see Lets go ride thread).

Have you guys got an up-to-date list of stuff that you all need? I can dig through my garage potentially. I also have that rack and panier bags someone can borrow for the ride.
