Bern Helmet in large and yellow (57-59cm) £15

Used for about 6 months, but I then moved to a a more ventilated helmet. It's good for winter wear and has the big plus of protecting the back of your head. Also very visible.

Nitto Moustache bars, 25.4 clamp, 54cm wide (end to end)

NOS essentially, fitted to my bike without bar tape and ridden once, but I didn't like it.
I found these selling in the UK for over £50, so maybe £30 is reasonable?

    Base layers, £5 each
Paradox Dri-Release size M, 11% Merino. One black one navy blue. BNWT

    Polartech tops £10 each
Land's End L (42-44) in Polartec Aircore 100. One black, one grey. BNWT

    Jerseys:

Pearl Izumi Ernie and Bert M, unworn but no tags, £25

Primal Wear Curious George L, used, sleeve elastic have gone a bit solid, not sure if that will wash out or not hence £15

Voler Good News Cycling, no size I can find but same as the George so I would say L, worn, £10

Track bike with nice chromey bits, but is vintage and therefore not immaculate. Seat tube 55cm/21 3/4" c-t, top tube 57cm/22 1/2" c-c. Wheels are tubular vintage mavic with a Schwalbe and a conti tube fitted. They have a sticker saying that they have passed inspection for use at the national championships.
Shorter cranks (165 or 160, not sure) and Nitto Noodle bars. If you are about 6' tall there is a little toe overlap and you are a bit too big for the bike (like me).

This belonged to Sean from Shelly cycles who died of a brain tumour. I've kept it for years for sentimental reasons, but I ride it about once a year as I am not really the type of person who rides a bike without mudguards and am more comfortable with a rear brake (which this bike cannot take).

This would suit someone shorter than I (~5'8" maybe) or who likes to race on small bikes.

I will include a spare tub, a can of tub-repair spray/inflator and some tub tape.

£400 is probably a crazy high price for this, but if you're cool enough for this bike you can probably afford it.

25-622 marathon plus. It's had some miles but not much wear. Collection from south birmingham. £10?

I was convinced for ages that I needed clipless for fixed. Got a set of powergrips earlier this year and am converted back to flats - much cheaper than clipless and super-simple. I can see for some serious or long-distance riding there could be a minor advantage to clipless, but that's not me.
I can lend you a pair of time atac aliums, though I don't reckon the cleats are up to much.

    ...or marathon plus 28-35c

Marathon Race will do you fine, you only want the plus if you ride all the time on glass strewn pavements.
I've had 1 puncture in two years with Kojaks, they say 35 but are 32s - my favourites atm.

Pump - I have a road morph which isn't a mini but better than any other pump I have used. they have a mini version but I dunno that I could get enough pressure from it to make it worth it (at which point, use CO2 no?).

Lights - buy a gazillion cheapo lights, they'll work out bright enough and make you visible. Then spend £20 on a "good" new light once a year.

Pedals - I'm trying Powergrips, the savings you make on clipless shoes makes it worth the trial (though if money weren't an issue I'd go Time ATACS and Quoc Phans)

On-One Pompino, used for commuting and road and cx rides. A superb do it all bike

I do like the Pompinos. What's the saddle?

Is that a dynamo hub on the front?

Yes, an old S-A one, probably not specced with the original frame (doubt it had a 3-speed to start off with either). I rode it from hall green to cotteridge yesterday and only remembered today that it had a the dynohub, I expected it to be a total b*tch.
    ...
That said, I don't know that it works.

    Right:
my employers are looking at signing up to a cycle purchase scheme, but the latest development is that they are looking at a finance purchase company who would sell the bikes to us. My issue with this is that we won't be using local bike shops and new cyclists won't be establishing a relationship with a bike shop.
So, the attraction of the scheme is 30% off the listed price, no deposit and pay in monthly instalments - 13 payments of 1/12 of the price. This works out as 25% off and free finance.

Most bike shops do a 10% discount to pretty much anyone, so I was wondering whether any of you what work at bike shops might be able to tell me who to ask at the shop who could tell me how close to matching that deal you could come to.

As I already own enough bikes I'm not going to profit from the deal, I just would rather we give money to local shops than to some big company.
    PM me.
