I'll be up for join that ^^
I've got a few people to ride it with but due to my knees I'm not sure what speed I'll be able to comfortably ride for the whole night. Even if I ride at 12mph I'll be there at 7 in the morning. That really is the slowest I'd go though. Probably more like 15-17mph.
Oh and what time is everyone thinking of setting off? I was thinking of leaving around 830.

• #1806
im hoping to be rolling around that speed too...

Cheers ChainBreaker, it's fairly new to me and have spent most of the week trying to dial it in to match my commuter that fits like a glove (thanks to Scherrit at The Bike Whisperer).
BRP, the saddle bag is fairly cavernous. Plus I did splash out on a hip pack (read bum bag) that means I can just about cover all eventualities.

I'm aiming for 88mph so I can get home yesterday!

ChainBreaker and spenceey - what time are you thinking of heading off? I'd be very happy of some company. My numbers in the phone numbers thread.

Tom, I will be rolling with the South East Crew and youre more than welcome to join us. I think we will have an easy roll speed so come join us. Great group and youre always welcome!
I will be on a Cannondale System Six wearing a forum jersey:-)

^ + 1 to this.
I shall also be donning the forum jersey. I wore it today to charge up the shark pits with sweat so that the forum's jersey power is in full effect for the ride.

Hmm. Fit raceblades. Don't fit raceblades.
Thoughts?

Sounds great. Plus I'm a South Easty too. I'll look forward to meeting you all.

TTM, FYI, I'll be on a white Canyon roadbike with a trispoke, dripping in Rapha and smoking a menthol slim. I'm a prick so you'll know to avoid me.

One to cancel out each moob. -
• #1822

I hadn't even considered the fact it might be too windy to sensibly use the trispoke/disc, so set was I on using them. but now, second thoughts. hmm. -

Not so nice bike, gears, not, rain, summer.
Done.
Right then, after having both my 'mates' drop out on me at the last minute and thinking perhaps a nice night of Zzzzzzzz's wouldn't be so bad, I've decided to stop pissing about and I'm IN!
So, I'm thinking that I could just hit the road at about 8-9ish and hopefully tag onto a group rolling at about 15-18 average? Anyone done it on their todd before? Feeling a bit Billy no mates, but would be gutted not to have done the ride and regretted it after.
This is my bike and if you pass me say hi!
