  • Raven sounds good for tomorrow as am getting a haircut round the corner. Might pop in for a swift half before the long trek south!

  • Si, I am seeing a business contact at the Sloaney at 7, then looking to roll on to the decided venue, once agreed.

cool, call me if it's not clear where we are from the thread!

not averse to setting up some sort of deal - the menu has been updated and is "fantastic" now.

They've lost the key to the side door, but will look into getting the bolt cut off and a new one put on. They don't mind us bringing the bikes through the pub in the mean time..

    sounds good

I can call by tomorrow lunchtime and have a chat with her.

@L&W - I have tomorrow off if you fancy some (inoffensive) support.

    likewise

  • My kids are both over 6 foot tall so no chance of eating them especially when they've knocked your teeth out lol

    What a sweet comeback bro.

  • This dude was 5'10, and he could definitely eat your children.

  • I saw him fight. An absolute fucking animal. Devastatingly quick hands.

He had most of his opponents beaten before they even got to the ring.

  • What was the place on Goldhawk Rd (or around that area) with a fussball table, decent food and tables out the front?

I doubt my vote carries much weight as i never fucking come anymore, but I liked it there.

I'm guessing you mean The Grand Union?
I'm new to lfgss and live West so shall come along to the next one i can make. Grand Union is nice though, and i live on the Goldhawk Road so is very convenient!

he's talking about me, not tyson.

  • tyson quit boxing when morgan came of age. conincidence?

  • Guys, can you agree on some venue?
I'll be in Fulham at 6 and the can come up to the pub.

  • You buying something from Marcola?

  • As always.

  • I don't have enough spare money to bring anything for you, if this is what you're asking for.

  • We don't talk about Paul's bike acquisition on here, his mrs lurks.

  • morgasm, have saddle can bring tomorrow if you still wants..

  • So is mine. Those are not parts Marco sells, those are security devices to protect our assets.

  • morgasm, have saddle can bring tomorrow if you still wants..

Not sure I can make it tomorrow, but will text you asap to let you know.

  • morgasm, forget that, I forgot the saddle anyway..

  • @EEI - Meet you same bat-time, same bat-channel?

  • Has this been resolved yet?

  • ^ By this I am assuming that you are referring to the all encompassing, existential debate about the meaning of life and where west beers will be held? It is a very complex subject that must consider many different and independent variables that are far too numerous to list here.

  • Rose or Raven?

  • raven this week
    rose next week

    as you were..

  • The Rose ticks all the boxes so far, just need the collective opinion. Murts, B&D and myself popped down there today. Suggest we use it for next weeks drinks. Aroogah reckons it was where Richie had his birthday sometime ago. It's barely 'less west' than the Crabtree in longitudinal terms.

Anyways - the long and short of it. B&D sampled the food, it was superb. Lovely garden, we can take bikes to it via the pub or the gate when they replace the bolt. They are sorting out some meal deals - we'll find out what they are later. The pub is quite spacious, and there was some cracking music coming through - relatively random from some internet jukebox but good stuff. They are more than welcoming so far.

First (?) Thursday of the month, they have the Harley Davidson chaps call by, and put on a band and stuff. Apparently it is a cracking night. The "LFGSS West Chapter" beckons.

So - tonight the Raven, next week the Rose. We'll see what's what.

  • BRM's 2008 Birthday.

The management must have changed. If they did remember that night they would never have let us back in.

  • All sounds very promising, don't want to be a pain but if the pub is that good why are we going to the Raven this week?
