According to Tim Vickery the money is flowing freely in the Brazilian Serie A. As long as there's a long list of European teams to form an orderly queue and are happy to write big cheques for their talent it will probably continue for quite some time. The league is by far the strongest in South America and a lot of the top Argentine players are now plying their trade there. The weather is also a lot better there.
